The most prominent stained glass window in the Church is that of
THE CRUCIFIXION.
Here again we find Mary. With her is Mary Magdalene, Mary of Clophas (who was a relative of Our Lady) and also Salome who was the Mother of the Apostles James and John. We also see that the only apostle who stood at the cross was the youngest one, John. The two men on the opposite side are Joseph of Arimathea, who was a wealthy man who owned the tomb in which Jesus was laid and Nicodemus. Nicodemus was a member of the Sanhedrin who admired Jesus but did not have the courage to completely follow Him.
To the far right of the scene is a garden. There is a tree in the garden, and hanging on the tree is Judas, who had killed himself -- the sad epic of an apostle turned traitor.
