RCIA
R.C.I.A.: What does it mean? The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is a process by which non-baptized persons are received into the Catholic Church (called a catechumen); or baptized persons of another denomination are received into the Catholic Church (candidate); or adult baptized Catholics prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
The R.C.I.A. process is directed by Deacon Douglas Hebert. Classes are held from October through March and the Catechumens/Candidates then receive either Baptism, Confirmation and/or First Communion at the Easter Vigil Mass on Holy Saturday.
