The Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist (First Communion) is held on the first Sunday of May at the 10:00 a.m. Mass. This is a very special time in a young child's life. Second grade students are regularly eligible to make their First Communion.
Parent/Child Requirements - Children must attend Saturday or Sunday Mass every week. The child must know the Sign of the Cross, Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Act of Contrition, and the Guardian Angel prayer. Parents and child are to make a Holy Hour in the Adoration Chapel during the season of Advent.
A Seder Meal is held on the Saturday evening before Palm Sunday. Attendance for child and parent is mandatory.
Public School students must attend summer CCD classes and a First Communion preparation class held in April.
